River Valley Insurance Group is hiring an Insurance Sales Producer to join our growing independent insurance agency. This full-time, in-person position that is based at a River Valley Insurance Group office.
River Valley provides company-generated sales opportunities, training, licensing support and an established team to help producers build successful insurance careers.

Expected Annual Earnings: $45,000–$125,000
Base salary plus commissions and performance bonuses.
A Property and Casualty Insurance Producer License is preferred but not required when applying. River Valley Insurance Group will help the selected candidate obtain the licensing required for the position.
About the Position
River Valley Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency, seeking an energetic and experienced Insurance Agent to join our team. The Insurance Agent will be responsible for selling our large line of property and casualty products to our clientele, assisting with the sales process from pre-insurance, quoting, closing and binding the policy. This position will also be responsible for building long term referral partners and managing the customer account. This position is for High Achievers only with a proven sales track record. Our program will generate on average of 7 household quotes each day. Your job is to call, quote and follow up with the client. We provide a base salary, plus commissions and bonuses.
The successful candidate will also develop referral partnerships, assist customers with account-related questions and represent River Valley Insurance Group with professionalism and integrity.
What You Will Do
- Contact prospective customers and follow up on new sales opportunities
- Prepare property and casualty insurance quotes
- Explain coverage options clearly and professionally
- Guide customers through the quoting, closing and policy-binding process
- Follow up on open quotes and pending applications
- Build and maintain long-term referral relationships
- Respond to customer account questions and requests
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns
- Maintain accurate sales and customer records
- Participate in training, coaching and professional-development activities
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities assigned by management
Licensing Support
An active Property and Casualty Insurance Producer License is preferred, but applicants who are not yet licensed are encouraged to apply. River Valley Insurance Group will work with the selected candidate to obtain the licensing required for the position.
River Valley will provide guidance and support throughout the licensing process so the selected candidate can meet the requirements of the position.

There is no fixed cap on commissions, so high-performing producers may earn more. Your effort, consistency and results directly influence your earning potential.
